If you are interested in Search & Rescue, the first course you should take is Tracking. Currently Starlite offers this training as a group class that last six weeks, meeting once a week. Class size is limited so sign up early!
The six week Tracking Course will involve teaching you and your dog:
- Tracking Human Scent
- Becoming a Trailing Dog
- Becoming a Tracking Dog
- Becoming a Air Scenting Dog
- Participate in a 3 mile track, searching for more then one person hiding.
The cost of this class is $300.00 with one dog and $200.00 without.Volunteer Fire and EMT’s is $250 with one dog and $200.00 without. We accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard & Discover.
If you would like to join a Search & Rescue Group you can join the Search Paws K-9 SAR that we have started. This group meets once a week to practice the techniques that you have learned.
