Besides play time your fur baby is taken outside every TWO hours for a potty break and again at 10:00 pm before bedtime!
Boarding cost is $30 per day. For Starlite Academy graduates of the 3 or 4 week Board and Train the cost is $28 per day.
At Starlite Academy your dog will be staying in their own private room. They will enjoy relaxing on their canvas bed and have total privacy from other boarders with our 4 foot plus high solid surrounding walls on three sides (gate on 4th). Single kennel and VIP Suite for 2 dogs shown below.
Your dog spends as much time outside on our fenced 4 acre property as Iowa weather permits. All dogs go outside either with other dogs of similar size and temperament or alone (if necessary). They will enjoy romping with others in our extra large group area or our spacious 30′ x 50′ grassy Play Pens. Length of play time varies again depending on the weather, but on the days where it is just too nasty to play outdoors we turn our large indoor training room into their play room.
Besides the play times our staff takes your dog out every 2 hours for potty breaks and once again before bedtime at 10:00 pm. For large dogs we have our 7′ x 4′ and for the small dogs 4′ x 4′. Their day starts all over again at 7:00 am.
For everyone on the staff, this isn’t just a job, these dogs are our passion. Time away from you and their home can be stressful for them, so here at Starlite we go all-out to create a “home-away-from-home” atmosphere that your family member will enjoy and will be eager to come back to.
