We’re currently not accepting any new dogs for training

Basic Obedience is just the corner stone for training your dog. Half the cost of training is required at drop off with the balance required at pick-up; not required on hourly lessons.

Here at Starlite Academy all our programs are One-On-One training. We feel that the dogs individual personalities deserve personal attention and that they learn more with our One-On-One training then they will in a class training. Dogs can be trained at any age as long as they are physically in good health. We do recommend starting basic obedience at 4 months of age. Training for your dog is like school for a child. Proper obedience will show your dog what is expected of them and will help prevent bad habits later. You will be shown how to use the commands properly so your dog will learn to respect you.

Starlite requires half payment at drop off and remaining half at pick up (except for hourly training). We accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard & Discover.

One on One Basic Obedience:

This program will teach your dog Basic Obedience on leash.

• Heel
• Automatic Sit
• Sit from front
• Down from side
• Down from front
• Come
• On Mat Stay
• Finish
• Off
• Wait
• Leave it

Come to Starlite for an hour lesson. Trainer will work with you and your dog. Then you go home and practice the commands you and your dog have learned. When you are ready for another lesson just call – I work at your pace
Cost: $60.00 per lesson – pay as you go.

One Week Board and Train: $350.00

This Program will involve teaching your dog the following commands:

• Heel: Walk on a loose leash at your left side.
• Auto Sit: Automatically sit at your left when you stop.
• Wait: Wait at the doors for you to give permission to go through.
• Down From Side: Your dog will go into a down while sitting at your left side.

Two Week Board and Train: $550.00

This Program will involve teaching your dog the following commands:

• Heel: Walk on a loose leash at your left side.
• Auto Sit: Automatically sit at your left when you stop.
• Wait: Wait at the doors for you to give permission to go through.
• Down From Side: Your dog will go into a down while sitting at your left side.
• Down From Front: Your dog will go into a down as you stand in front of him.
• Off: Teaching your dog to get off Furniture, Counters, You.
• Come: Will come to you when called.

Three Week Board and Train $700.00

This Program will involve teaching your dog the following commands:

• Heel: Walk on a loose leash at your left side.
• Auto Sit: Automatically sit at your left when you stop.
• Wait: Wait at the doors for you to give permission to go through. Wait in car for you to allow exit out.
• Down From Side: Your dog will go into a down while sitting at your left side.
• Down From Front: Your dog will go into a down as you stand in front of him.
• Off: Teaching your dog to get off Furniture, Counters, You.
• Come: Will come to you when called.
• On your Mat: Dog will go to their mat on command.
• Stay: Dog will hold position or command until released.
• Finish: After coming dog will learn to return to your left side.

Four Week Board and Train $850.00

This Program includes all commands for basic obedience plus off leash training of all those commands.
